Love at Home : Samsung Front Load Washing Machine

Another addition to their lineup of smart appliances is the Front Load Washing Machine. Doing the laundry is an arduous and time-consuming task. There are many things to consider when it comes to washing fabric, but Samsung’s newest Front Load Washing Machine makes cleaning clothes a breeze. It makes use of Samsung’s own Eco Bubble Technology that allows powerful cleaning in cold water. Using warm water is an extra step when it comes to doing the laundry, and it can also be damaging to some fabrics. But the Eco Bubble allows for easy cleaning by completely dissolving detergent even with cold water producing fine foam that easily penetrates the fabric for both effective and gentle, cutting the time, effort, and energy needed in doing this task.

In addition to being extremely powerful with its high Revolution Per Minute (RPM) rate, it is also furnished with the Stain Away Program. This pre-programmed cycle was designed to deal with the 12 most common types of stains: blood, cocoa, sebum, oatmeal, tea, wine, tomato, pencil lead, mud, makeup, lipstick, and grass. It does all this with less noise, less vibration, and more performance than an ordinary washing machine. And of course, it is outfitted with the Digital Inverter Technology, guaranteeing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Part of their new lineup also includes the new Food Showcase Refrigerator. This innovation provides smart organization for all your different types of food. There are two layers of doors in order to properly showcase the contents of the refrigerator, making it much easier to visualize your stocks. There are the outer compartments for your most frequently used products, allowing instant access. And then there are the inner compartments for ingredients that you don’t use as often. Not only does this maximize space, this setup makes organizing and consuming food a simple process. Everyone in the family, including the children can access refrigerator contents with ease.

The new Food ShowCase Refrigerator also features an ice and water dispenser. At the touch of a button, users can enjoy a refreshing glass of chilled filtered water or fill a pitcher with cubed or crushed ice.

This refrigerator is also equipped with Samsung’s trademark Digital Inverter Technology. This means that the refrigerator utilizes the same smart technology that allows it to adjust its temperature accordingly. Thus, no unnecessary energy is consumed, making this an efficient and cost-effective appliance

Online Shopping for Kitchen Tools

For many times now, I've been hooked to online shopping specially if the items are nowhere to found in malls and stores. Not only that, some items online are much cheaper with the same quality. Of course, I also have fears of bogus sellers and low quality items thus it pays to have some protection.

Until I found Lamido Buy and Sell Site. With Lamido's SafePay, Lamido acts a third party wherein Lamido will only give the item if the buyer pays then give the payment to the seller if the seller delivered the item(s) thus Lamido is perfect for online shopping specially this Christmas Season. Now I'll never fear those bogus sellers ever again.

I hope you have a list of your loved one's Christmas wish for Lamido have it all in a discounted and reasonable price. Kitchen tools for my wife, mother and mother-in-law are always a surprise for them. hmmm? What would it be for whom??? What do you suggest?

LONDON, October 28, 2014 – The 2014 World Branding Awards gave special recognition to Tony Fernandes, AirAsia Group CEO, naming him “Brand Builder of the Year” for his outstanding work in building the low cost airline brand.

AirAsia was also named “Brand of the Year” in the airline category. The airline was the only regional winner, having scored the highest for a low cost airline in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. 68 brands from 25 countries were honoured at a glittering awards ceremony at the prestigious One Whitehall Place in London. Global winners include Apple, Coca-Cola, Del Monte, Heinz, HSBC, Louis Vuitton, McDonald’s, Samsung, Sony PlayStation and VISA.

AirAsia Group CEO, Tony Fernandes said, “It’s an honour for me to receive this award and I would like to thank the World Branding Awards for the prestigious recognition. Branding has always held a special part in my heart and we are very proud to be where we are in just a little over a decade.

“AirAsia is what it is today due to the can-do attitude of each and every person that makes up the AirAsia family. Every single one represents the brand, showing the world how we do things differently via constant innovation and I share this award with them. Our innovative trait is the key in elevating our brand and sets us apart from the rest of the field,” Tony added.

Tony Fernandes receiving the prestigious award from Chairman of World Branding Forum, Mr Richard Rowles.
Richard Rowles, Chairman of the World Branding Forum said, “It takes years to build a strong brand, and brands that make the list at these awards deserve recognition. Their work inspire those who work in the branding industry, and these are also brands that have a strong relationship with consumers. In addition to a brand valuation, voting by consumers show that connection that winning brands have with the general public.”

Under Tony’s leadership, AirAsia has grown into a world-class and innovative brand with revolutionary low fares, premium products and high quality services. His drive, creativity, enthusiasm of driving liberalization across the region has opened countless new markets for AirAsia, bringing affordable air travel to millions of travelers and high growth levels to countless tourism destinations in a remarkably short time.

The airline’s tenacity in breaking the norm of air travel and its insistence on constant innovation has made it the most significant airline brand when it comes to low cost travel.

After taking over the then struggling airline in late 2001, Tony and his management grew the airline which has now flown more than 250 million guests to date. From a fleet of two aircraft, one destination and staff of 250, the AirAsia Group now operates a fleet of over 170 aircraft and 90 destinations.

The 2014 World Branding Awards was organised by the World Branding Forum, a global non-profit organisation which produces, manages and supports a wide range of programmes covering research, development, education, recognition, networking and outreach. It is also involved with research and development, the implementation of standards, best practice guidelines and tools, as well as other relevant branding initiatives.

The awards recognised some of the best global and national brands for their work and achievements. Uniquely, winners were judged through four streams: brand valuation, consumer market research, public online voting, as well voting by the World Branding Forum Advisory Council, which is made up of luminaries from the world of branding.

Things are about to heat up for food lovers and local sports fans with the Philippine opening of Buffalo Wild Wings, known for its exciting sports viewing atmosphere. Its namesake being Buffalo, NY-style chicken wings served with one of 18 mouth-watering signature sauces and seasonings, spiced up with its wide selection of beers. The first Philippine branch of this international restaurant chain will be launched at Capitol Commons in Pasig City this December.

It was in 1982 when Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery founded Buffalo Wild Wings, shortly after the two friends moved to Ohio from Buffalo. Driven by their craving for New York’s popular bar food which was nowhere to be found in Ohio, Jim and Scott opened their own wing joint instead near The Ohio State University campus.

Three decades later, the modest wing joint has grown into an influential brand with over 1,040 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and soon the Philippines.

“We are very excited to be bringing the Buffalo Wild Wings experience to Manila and we look forward to becoming a part of this dynamic community,” said Tim Murphy, Vice President of International for Buffalo Wild Wings.

“The forthcoming launch of Buffalo Wild Wings in the country is something that we look forward to with great enthusiasm. This phenomenal and widely-popular brand shares The Bistro Group’s philosophy of connecting people through good food in a fun and engaging environment. Given the Filipinos’ love for sports, we expect big crowds and lots of excitement, especially during major sporting events. Buffalo Wild Wings offers fans the best place to watch a big game,” said Jean Paul Manuud, Bistro Group of Restaurants’ President and COO.

WINGS. BEER. SPORTS.

Classic American comfort food is an integral part of the Buffalo Wild Wings experience, and the brand sets itself apart with its award-winning Buffalo wings handspun in signature sauces and seasonings ranging from Sweet BBQ to Blazin’.

Aside from its winning combination of chicken wings, extensive array of draft, imported and local bottled beer, and exhilarating sports shows, the restaurant also offers other shareable dishes such as burgers, sandwiches, wraps and more. There are also regular updates to its boldly-flavored menu with a variety of limited-time special offerings to keep things fresh and interesting.

The restaurant’s contemporary design, complete with wall-to-wall HD flat-screen TVs, captures the energy of a sports stadium. This allows guests to watch, celebrate and cheer on their favorite teams in a fun, social atmosphere.

Made possible by The Bistro Group

The upcoming Philippine launch of Buffalo Wild Wings is part of The Bistro Group’s ongoing expansion effort geared towards providing quality options in the local food scene and restaurant concepts that are in sync with the market’s evolving and diverse preferences.

A trailblazer in the local restaurant scene and a pioneer in the casual dining segment, The Bistro Group currently owns and operates an extensive portfolio of 10 restaurant concepts, a culinary center (The Bistro Academy) comprised of international franchises, as well as homegrown brands.

Iconic Apple store designer teams up with Globe Telecom to revolutionize telco retail

Multi-awarded designer Tim Kobe —lauded for transforming the retail landscape through his work on the iconic Apple Store in New York City— has arrived in the Philippines to visit the revolutionary “Generation 3” stores that he especially redesigned for leading telecommunications company Globe Telecom. Globe tapped Tim Kobe in remodeling its stores to set the standard for store design and telecoms retail experience in the Philippines and in the world.

Tim Kobe is the CEO and founder of Eight Inc., a strategic design firm with offices in San Francisco, New York, Honolulu, Tokyo, London, Singapore, and Beijing. The "8 design human experience”—which hints at the Generation 3 store promise—states that "we design meaningful experiences. Experiences with emotion and purpose that change the way people think, feel, and do."

Tim Kobe writes his message for the Kagay-anons on the Globe GEN3 mural at Limketkai mall

A graduate of Environmental Design from Art Center College of Design, Kobe began his career working as a designer for The Burdick Group, a design firm based in in San Francisco California, In 1987, Kobe became a founding partner in West Office Design Associates, focusing on museum and exhibition design for several science museum exhibitions in the US and Hong Kong.

Years later, Kobe founded the globally recognized strategic design firm Eight Inc. At Eight Inc., Kobe worked with numerous brands in the retail and commercial space including Apple, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Nike, Coke, Knoll and Citibank, among others.

Beyond his duties at Eight Inc., Kobe is also trustee at Art Center College of Design and currently serving as Chairman of the Academic Affairs Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Grabhorn Institute in San Francisco California.

Together with Kobe, Globe is set to revolutionize customer experience through a highly engaging retail concept that reimagines the digital lifestyles of Filipinos. The new stores will feature interactive lifestyle vignettes that will showcase numerous products within interesting displays that are relevant to customers. The installations are flexible and reconfigurable enabling the store to transform, keeping the environment always fresh and giving customers a reason to return.

Tim Kobe with the Globe SM North Edsa team

As Globe Telecom makes way for Kobe’s retail concept, it has closed down two of its biggest stores in SM North Edsa and Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro. The two stores will reopen in December 2014 promising a groundbreaking experience for its customers.

Prior to opening, the stores will feature themed surprises – Arts, Community, and Technology. Globe has commissioned a number of local artists to turn these stores into live art galleries that showcase murals exhibiting the vision Globe Telecom and Kobe’s Eight Inc. have for its upcoming Generation 3 stores.

Globe GEN3 store designer Tim Kobe (2nd L) and Globe Head of Retail Transformation and Stores Management Joe Caliro (R)  together with Globe Retail Area Head for North Mindanao Pearl Cepeda (L) and Globe Retail Manager for Limketkai Mall Andrene Buctuan (3rd L)

For weeks now, local artists have treated Globe customers and retail onlookers to live art performances at their stores in SM North EDSA in Manila and Limketkai Mall in Cagayan De Oro. Italianni's New 'Taste of Italy" Dishes

The passion and flair that Italians are known for are evident, not only in their culture and the arts, but in their cuisine as well. Antipastos and primos lovingly tease the palate ; secondos are savory, they immediately satisfy while dolces are decadent, you could not afford to miss a mouthful.

The delectable dishes of Italy come alive in Italianni’s new offerings collectively known as “Tastes of Italy.” Created by Bistro Corporate Chef, Josh Boutwood, these were inspired by the authentic flavors of the region using fresh ingredients. What’s more, they are available in big servings that are made for sharing, staying true to the Italian tradition of celebrating with family and friends over mounds of food on the dining table.

Start off with Osso Bucco di Fattoria, a Milanese specialty of veal shanks braised in a richly-flavored sauce of vegetables and wine. Served on a bed of polenta, it is rustic and comforting which explains why Chef Josh chose to add fattoria (farm) to its name.

Osso Bucco di Fattoria
The heartiness of Italian cuisine is also apparent in Agnello Brasato, lamb shanks cooked in a robust mixture of vegetables, red wine and other seasonings. Choose between creamy polenta or garlic mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.

Agnello Brasato
Dining at Italianni’s is not for the faint-hearted, especially when feasting on hearty meat dishes like pancetta or Italian pork belly. Chef Josh has prepared the Pancetta Croccante e Vongole which are crispy fried pork ribs and Manila clams served with Arancini (or Italian rice croquettes).

Guanciale Croccante e Vongole
The vast coastline of Italy also presents a great opportunity for relishing seafood. Italianni’s introduces the Parmesan & Garlic crusted Atlantic Cod, a light but filling fish dish seared with lemon potatoes and little neck clam sauce. And while you’re at it, have your favorite glass of wine with the Pan-Seared Peppered Fish. Italianni’s has opted for the popular Tilapia and melded it with mixed fresh almond infused pappardelle, artichoke, sundried tomatoes and olives.

Pan Seared Peppered Tilapia
“Tastes of Italy” guarantees that you’ll get the most out of your Italian dining experience in every visit. Italianni’s warm and effusive flavors beckon you. Come in. Have a taste.
